Officially confirmed: iGPS360 works with firmware 3.1.2

This is a brief post to update everyone on the iGPS360 module and firmware 3.1.2.

As had already been reported by quite a few users, the iGPS360 works fine with the new 3.1.2 Apple firmware (thank you everyone, for bringing this confirming news early for everyone).

I have finally had some time myself to play around with an an iPhone 3G running firmware 3.1.2 (jailbroken by blackra1n and unlocked by blacksn0w) and I can confirm that the iGPS360 module works fine on the new firmware.

Maybe someone can also confirm that the module works on an iPod Touch 3G (I don't have one of those).

The FAQ and product description on the Orange Gadgets website has now also been updated with this information.

If you feel anything else needs to be updated or added to the website, please let me know.

The current jailbreak does not work with new iPodTouch, waiting for new jailbreak to buy a iGPS360.

@Magro: read the post here which says that even the new iPod Touch can be jailbroken (but it is a tethered jailbreak).

Magro, I don't know how you attempted your jailbreak, but you are wrong, GPS, you are correct. The Ipod Touch 3G can be jailbroken but it is unfortunately tethered. If anyone dosen't understand what that means, every time your device needs to reboot, battery dies, etc...you will need to re-jailbreak. Blackra1n fortunately makes jailbreaking quick, but still necessary to connect to computer if it reboots or you power off. Re-springing is not rebooting...The device will respring just fine (for all the theme changes you'll do it resprings not reboot) so don't think every change you make in winterboard will require re-jailbreak. Donate to George Hotz it's the least you can do for making it possible to enjoy your idevice in so many more ways and giving apple some of the worst mental, and finacial ass beatings the've probably dealt with thus far. Props to whole dev-team also....
